Performer ✧ Creator ✧ Educator
Hello friends.
My name is Genevieve Blaise. My pronouns are she/they. I am a practicing theater artist, writer, and educator in the NYC, NJ, and Philadelphia area.
I recently graduated with a Master's degree from NYU Steinhardt for Educational Theater in Colleges and Communities. I served on the 2020-2021 Steinhardt Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. I also earned the Spring 2021 MPAP Departmental Scholarship for the work I have done through the program.
From 2017-2021, I served NYU Tisch School of the Arts as a staff member in the dance department. In that time I have earned three staff grants and the 2020 M-U-S-E residency for my work with dance and theater company Idyll Shift.
Currently, I am accepting students for individualized acting instruction for audition preparation and beyond in contemporary and classical styles. I also provide playwriting coaching and mentorship.
I am currently accepting students for private instruction in contemporary and classical monologue practice. Drawing from my decades of acting training, my primary goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable when performing in any situation—whether it's for an audition or for public speaking.
I also am accepting student writers for individualized mentorship. Whether you're a pro and you just want a fresh pair of eyes to read your work, or you've never written a play before in your life and you have no idea where to start, I am happy to make the journey of writing and creation a joyous and fruitful one.

Since May 2023, I have started writing and creating a YouTube series titled "Let's Make a Play with Genevieve Blaise." Each episode, we dive into some new ways we can think about playwriting. Take a watch and let me know what you think!
If you are interested in my theatrical works, I am now uploading many of them to the New Play Exchange. This includes adaptations, original works, and original narrations for musical revues. You can check them out for yourself here:
